All the Joy the Heart Can Handle is a book written to provide hope that there is help in Christ to deal with anything that life throws our way. The message is that God can take child abuse, failed marriages, addictions, and a myriad of our different wounds and use them to prepare us for the life and the blessings he planned for each of us. Of course, we do have free will, and we can choose not to accept his calls. But we must remember he is always available to accept ours. After all, he is available 24/7.
