Dark Times Volume 1 Issue 1

The Dark Times publication describes the different systems and technical details of the Dark System and Plantoid Bio-reactor. This is the first issue of Dark Times. In this issue I am introducing some key elements of the Dark system. Answer some questions, how this system will work? Will it be effective? What are the expectations from such a system? What is required to fashion shaded / dark environments? What is the effect of climate change, global warming, deforestation, desertification? Can we reduce carbon emissions? Some simple experiments are discussed and a possible first prototype system, cold foam dark system, is proposed. The various components of this system are outlined and listed. The availability and practicality of each components is analyzed.

The ultimate goal of the Dark system is to grow vegetations in dry lands and desert regions and improve the water retention of these regions. The other goal is to use renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions and possibly have zero carbon foot print. Will the Plantoid power plant work? Is this a practical design or just a concept? In future issues of Dark Times, we will discuss how close we are to achieving this and what is needed and are the goals feasible.
