Bella Castova's War Story

Bella Castova's War Story is a story of Italy during World War II. It is the story of an Italian woman and what she did during the war. Married to a leader of the Italian underground, she finds herself working alongside the Americans Monument Men to track down a stolen painting from her home church in Acerno. With her husband away and ever more distant, Bella begins a search that will lead her to Monte Cassino, Rome and the salt mines of Alt Aussee, Austria. Protected and befriended by an American soldier, eventually she must decide whether to remain loyal to her husband or leave Italy to begin a new life in America.
