The intention of writing this book was to find out the history and background of so many of our towns and villages about which there did not seem to be much information. Yet the information lay, piecemeal, in documents making passing reference to that scene, in newspaper articles, sometimes in official documents, in the year-books, blue-books and Council Papers, and on occasions in letters to a friend.... This is a detailed history and guide to this archipelagic nation in the southern Caribbean. It includes black and white photographs and maps.
