Impact

There wasn't a time that I could ever remember that I didn't love her.
First, we were friends and later lovers.
She was the light in the dimness of my pitiful existence.
We swore we would always be together in life and in death.
But then my past came knocking, and I was running out of time.
I had to save her before I saved myself.
Never did I know the impact she had on my life till I found her again.
