The Vikings, Facts or Fictions

The Vikings originated from the three Scandinavian countries, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. These ferocious sea-going traveled far in their open longboats. They visited Iceland, Greenland and North America. Even Ireland, England and Normandy in France. From Sweden the Vikings visited Finland, the Baltic States, Poland, Germany, Russia and even part of Asia. Where they couldn't find trouble themselves, they were good at starting it. Their original name, was 'wicing' an English word that stood for Pirate. The Vikings didn't do much to better their reputation, they kept on fighting.
