Julie Farrington quits her job on Wall Street and heads home to Jingle Bell Rock, Tennessee, determined to turn her late grandmother's mansion into an inn. Trouble arises when someone has stolen the town icon --a massive rock shaped like a jingle bell--, and businesses are disappearing one by one. Julie is a force to be reckoned with as she sets to turn things around, except dealing with the gorgeous brother of an old friend has her heart in a whirlwind.

Widower Ryan Thompson has sworn off Farrington women, but Julie's affection for his young sons has him rethinking his vow. Every time he makes progress with Julie, he loses ground when his ex-fiancée Marcie Farrington interferes and Julie backs away, making Ryan wonder if a relationship is even possible.
