Notes on a hip op: Some hopefully helpful suggestions from a survivor

You've been in agony for years. You should have gone under the knife a long time ago, but for whatever reason you have put off. But you've run out of excuses, and now you have the date writ large on your calendar, glaring at you. You will get lots of help and advice from the hospital pre, during and post, but even so, there are a number of non-essential essentials that I found were not covered. Here then are my suggestions, got from experience of surviving two hip ops, to help you in the months to come.
