The Satchel Boy

The 1990s.  A methamphetamine epidemic spreads beyond the trailer courts. The Heartland shudders as Mexican drug cartels find new outposts in the Midwest. Young David Ramirez of the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement volunteers for the fight. He is tested by the war on drugs. Huge sums of money are at stake. Undercover officers play a dangerous game of pretend. With David's career in its infancy, his world is upended by a violent confrontation with far reaching consequences. As he sloshes through the muck of tragedy, guilt and liability, he is held together by a close-knit family, a compassionate psychologist and the memory of an ex-girlfriend he misses very much.
