"""Marie could be the last girl I ever date,"" thought James. He didn't know it yet, but she would be.
James Molan and Marie Barisha are looking for the new steakhouse outside of town when a wrong turn on a rural highway leads them to The Place. Initially put off by its unusual architecture, the two of them hesitantly enter and find a friendly atmosphere full of incredible food and amazing sights, for The Place is home to fantastic illusory shows the likes of which James never imagined possible.
After a night of fine food and drinks, James is awakened by the manager of The Place, a man that goes by the name ""Owner,"" and sent away on a tour of the nearby facility responsible for the illusory shows. James' misgivings about the tour become justified when it ends with him unleashing a nightmare known only as ""The Dream"" upon the Earth.
After returning to The Place, the illusions become all-too-real for James as the wrath of a malevolent cosmic force is visited upon him and his companions. James is given a choice: submit to The Dream and risk his demise, or resist and risk the deaths of all those around him.
Caught in an inescapable world of Hellish torment, James is forced to watch his companions die brutally at the hands of The Dream ... or worse. Death is far from the worst fate that can be inflicted by The Dream, and James is shocked and terrified to witness the transformations of those around him into monsters that turn on those they had so recently called friend.
Trapped in The Place, James is unable to escape, and now must wait to see what frightening fate awaits him within The Dream..."
