Being of sound body, mind and spirit, the destination in disaster relief was obvious yet irrelevant as the need for aid to victims of Hurricanes Ivan thru Rita seemed more than the usual crisis. No longer was the call to glory effective without action as gangs and terrorists moved in to take over. When the Red Cross left only a few remained with dignity and without restraint to resurrect the Gulf region.
