A reluctant bodyguard, Jay now faces a lofty challenge, protect Kahina--his no-longer-an-ex-girlfriend--during her transformation into a full-fledged vampire. Sounds simple enough, except the odds are stacked against him; angry wolves, partial vampires, human extremists all seek to destroy her before she completes the change.
