Set in the future this book explores a world where the law allows punishments to be converted into a price. If you are rich enough you get off any crime, but if you fall into debt you will become a debt criminal. Working for the prison system and private companies until you have cleared your debt.
Over time the system becomes a way to control the population and gain power. However in this world of injustice one man finds a way to be free and change the world.
