Distinction Of Realms

In the beginning a force of pure WILL from the Great Projector created existence. Chaos, order, and time were born creating the Founding Magic. From the Founding came the supernatural that ushered a lavish age of myth where gods and goddesses reigned. Magic was alive. Eventually humans were born. With them came the natural magic known as science, but the advent of humans distorted the balance. The will of a human was a source of great power to the deities of old; the belief humans held resonated from their souls and was a pure energy unlike any other. After several brutal conflicts it was decided by the Praetor Projector Council that balance needed to be restored. A great flood washed away the old world, and the Distinction of Realms was enacted masking the true reality from the human populace so that their collective will would be left alone. Since then there has been the human realm and the supernatural realm. Some are marked by supernatural creatures they encounter forcing them to cross over, and others have latent abilities of magic that allow them to walk both worlds.

Life is going according to plan for young Jared Hernandez. When his feelings for coworker Sara White erupt into an emotional confrontation his life and that plan are changed forever. Sara (a former goddess) marks him with the energy of that love. When he awakens the following day the real world becomes stranger than ever. Demons, vampires, werewolves, gods, goddesses, magic, and science blend into the everyday. Banning together with others that have crossed over, and with the aid of those that protect the newly arrived to the supernatural realm, Jared helps to prevent the slaughter of innocent lives. A sacrifice is being prepared and the blood of the mortal souls in need of saving is meant for the former goddess that forced Jared to cross over. He must reconcile those very human emotions and the path he is meant to walk. Within Jared's blood is the Founding Magic linking back to the origins of time. With those powers he is meant to shape the future for us all.
