A.K.A. Fred

This book tells the story of the many adventures of the first eighteen years in the life of a young boy growing up in a small Oklahoma town during the 1930s and 1940s. These true accounts of his experiences with family and friends may sound familiar to many readers of that generation. It was a time when children could run and play in neighborhoods where families knew they would be safe, guns were considered tools to be used to provide meat for the table, and work was expected of everyone.
