Set in the early years of the Flapper era a secretly heartbroken and pining Mabel Flynn is under pressure to leave her father's care. Options are limited for young women, especially those with a lust for travel and adventure. Mabel's best friend recently married into a wealthy family but Mabel detests the available bachelor brother. Perhaps she can attract the attentions of the elder Mr Samson, the patriarch of the family. But could marrying a widower old enough to be her father satisfy the passionate Mabel?
