A Fabrication of the Truth

The last time Lexie Stein saw Dalton Reyes, he lay in a pool of blood, hovering somewhere between life and death. Now, five years later, he's the new guy in her high school that everyone is talking about.

What happened between then and now is a mystery Lexie is afraid to explore. She constructed her current life on a series lies. No one knows the truth. No one except Dalton, so she needs to stay away from him. But he seems to want to do nothing but to talk to her. If people see them with each other, they might start to put two and two together and find out who she really is.

As her grandmother warns her--Dalton means trouble, and as much her grandma wants Lexie to stay away from him, his family is just as determined to keep him away from her. Even though she needs to keep her distance from Dalton, she can't deny the pull she feels toward him. While they didn't spend much time together as kids, it only took one day to change their lives and bond them forever.

When Dalton shares his secret about what happened after that day, Lexie realizes she can't let him get away a second time because she learns how precious time is and how there might not be enough of it in the world for her and Dalton.
