Living in Memphis where anything can happen, a nonchalant kid uses what he knows to find his way out. Duke's life isn't always cool and collected but he finds light in every situation.

As Duke grows through life, many unique characters have a great influence on his path to success. It all starts with him meeting Jamal and Ladaniel, then life takes him on a rollercoaster ride.

It begins with a sixth grader that wants to be liked by his crush, but he quickly finds out that everything isn't meant to be. After he found out the devastating news that his crush doesn't likes him, his love life takes a turn, and he becomes a ladies' man that everyone wants a piece of.

Basketball is Duke's true talent, he knows the odds of making it pro, so he uses his talent to unlock different avenues of life. Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce the way he wants, but he finds a way to make the best out of it.

Duke sometimes doesn't make the right decisions but he never regrets the outcome. When his high school life gets underway he finds himself dealing with many unwanted emotions that he never avoids. He makes choices off his own heart, and doesn't get caught in the hype.

His mom makes him get a job, life becomes serious, and his priorities change. As things change in Duke's life, new opportunities are presented. He's stuck between sex, love, and under the influence activity.

Lastly, because of basketball Duke finds himself attending College in Missouri. He brings his Memphis lifestyle six hours away, and somehow finds success. Duke comes out on top, but it's definitely not as easy as he makes it looks.
