The Gifts of the Trees

The Iroquois people learned to share from the trees. When the Iroquois first came to the forest, each tree gave the Iroquois a gift, such as water, tools, beds, baskets, bows, arrows, and fire. The Iroquois learned to share all they have with others because of the trees' gifts.
