Trails of Darkness: Comparative Essays on the Salem Witch Hysteria of 1692 from the Teenage Perspective is a collection of critical essays written by seventeen high school students ages sixteen to eighteen years old. While attending Hawken Upper School in Gates Mills, Ohio, the students studied the events of Salem in the semester-long course Delusion and Superstition: The Salem Witch Hysteria of 1692. The book was collaboratively written and published by these students. All profits from the project will be donated to Facing History and Ourselves, an international educational and professional development organization whose mission is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry.
