Long considered an authoritative sourcebook on the practices and beliefs of Western Esotericism, Three Books of Occult Philosophy, first published in 1533, is an exhaustive compendium of ritual magic, astrology, kabbalah, angelology, ceremonial procedures, spells, and divination practices gathered from contemporary Eurpoean sources. Written from a scholarly perspective, rather than that of a mystagogue, Agrippa's approach at the time was intellectual and philosophical, containing many approaches and analyses compiled from over 200 sources.
