Stravinsky and the Ballets Russes: The Firebird/Le Sacre du Printemps [Blu-ray]

Recorded during a Stravinsky evening at the Mariinsky Theatre, Moscow, in 2008, this release celebrates both the work of the composer and the 1909 debut of the Ballet Russes in Paris. Millicent Hodson recreates the original choreography of Ballet Ruses' LE SACERE DU PRINTEMPS and THE FIREBIRD for the Mariinsky Ballet, with Valery Gergiev conducting the Mariinsky Orchestra.
