Life starts out normal for Kat Thorsen but quickly morphs into the bizarre. Seeking a chance for love, she has a sexual experience where things turn frightening. And that night a mysterious dream-man visits her. Her dreams (if that's what they really are) grow stranger. Along the way she encounters a wayward detective and a criminal gang who want the jewel she obtains in a dream. But it's a more than a jewel.
