Legend of the Demon Cat [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray]

Director Chen Kaige helms this adaptation of Baku Yumemakura's novel of the same name, which teams up two real historical figures for a supernatural quest. Japanese monk Kukai (Shota Sometani) is summoned to the Chinese court of a Tang dynasty emperor (Edward Zhang), who is seemingly killed by a magical black cat. With the help of Chinese poet Bai Juyi (Huang Xuan), Kukai investigates the death of a former Imperial concubine (Sandrine Pinna), who could be behind the demon cat's murderous quest.
