Grieving is healing. On the healing journey of grief,
in this eclectic collage, Vorkink Machin embraces the light of a tiny tear drop crystal prism of rainbows. Through the prism, light and rainbows of hope, transformation and resiliency embrace losses from mass shootings, suicides, civil wars, and personal tragedies. In the new black, we grieve differently and at times, more public.

Vorkink Machin, a senior Rocky Mountain poet/storyteller, has experienced grief intimately and envisions the rainbow prisms to ease mourning. Using personal narratives, poetry and shadowboxes, she brings the reader closer to transforming the broken heart, and evolving into compassion for others.

A book for all ages, those who grieve presently, and those who will. Mister Rogers, the Buddha, and the Psalms become new friends. We are reminded that death is our teacher in the grieving and healing process.
