My life’s journey, as with many people, has taken lots of twists and turns and had many valleys and peaks. Through all of it, God has been my constant companion—even when I wasn’t willing to see Him there or didn’t want to see Him there. God’s faithfulness astounds me daily and His love for all of us is overwhelming. I hope that as you enter into this book, you come with a heart desiring to get as close to God as possible. This closeness isn’t always easy, but it is always worthwhile. God never leaves His children, never forsakes them, and loves them with a love that is unable to be fully comprehended until we reach heaven.

As you start this twenty-eight-day journey, please ask God to speak to your heart and show you how to apply the verses and my story. You may not identify with some of the entries, and that’s ok. Some of them may resonate very deeply, and with those I ask you to be open to how the Holy Spirit is moving.
