Ermione

The Teatro Comunale di Bologna mounted this 2008 production of Gioachino Rossini's two-act opera Ermione (1819) as a part of the Rossini Opera Festival. It passionately dramatizes the tale of the jealous Hermione (Sonia Ganassi), who invites Orestes (Antonino Siragusa) to avenge a love affair that has erupted between the consort Pyrrhus (Gregory Kunde) and Andromache (Marianna Pizzolata).
