Die Tote Stadt

The Teatro La Fenice mounted this stage production of Erich Wolfgang Korngold's 1920 opera +Die Tote Stadt, between January 29th and 31st, 2009. The cast includes Stefan Vinke as Paul, Solveig Kringelborn as Marietta and Marie, Stephan Genz as Frank and Fritz, Christa Mayer as Brigitta and Eleonore Marguerre as Juliette. Pier Luigi Pizzi designed the sets and costumes and directs for the stage; The Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro la Fenice provide musical accompaniment under the baton of Eliahu Inbal. Claudio Marino Moretti serves as chorus master.
