Believing is seeing. Ava Van Drake has lived by this since she was a child. No one believes what she sees every day or what her job is: Hunting monsters. Every generation for the las 125 years has hunted creatures of all shapes and sizes, from dragons and trolls to gnomes and fairies; keeping humans safe as well as the creatures.

But there is a thin line between being a hunter and being hunted. The worst beast of them all, the Oblivion, has a grudge against the Van Drake line and will stop at nothing to wipe them out. Being one of the last two Van Drakes left, Ava finds there is more to this tale then anyone has ever known. As time is running out, she must piece together the past to save her future as well that the fate of both the human and creature realms.
