A Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man

The story of James Joyce's classic, stream-of-consciousness novel is given a somewhat more conventional approach in this cinematic adaptation. Like the novel, the film follows the experiences of Joyce's alter ego, Stephen Dedalus, from childhood to university student and aspiring author.
