Containing 1140 cross-referenced definitions aimed at the non- specialist, this dictionaries entries provide biographical information on important figures, descriptions of pivotal events, explanations of relevant United Nations resolutions, and other materials related to the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the first Zionist Congress in 1897 to the construction of the so-called "wall of separation" in the early 2000s. Photographs, some not particularly detailed maps, historical timelines, a glossary, and a bibliography supplement the entries, but the absence of an index may frustrate some readers.
