Lukan's Documentation Phys. Therapist

Wendy Bircher's updated revision of Marianne Lukan's standard-setting Documentation for Physical Therapist Assistants provides all the basics students need for keeping current with proper documentation skills as they would with other aspects in the ever changing field of rehabilitation. Not only must they learn proper documentation to receive reimbursement for the services they provide under a licensed physical therapist, but they must also address concerns related to patient confidentiality, HIPAA requirements, third party reimbursement requirements, and legal and ethical issues in practice. In addition to developing a thorough knowledge of the functional outcomes desired by all stakeholders in their patient's care, students must continue to build their documentation skills in a technologically changing environment utilizing computer and web-based programs.
