Rashid is the author of the bestselling teXtbook for the undergraduate power electronics course (Power ElectronicsCircuits, Devices, and Applications, 2nd ed., Prentice Hall, 1993, <%ISBN%> 013678996X) as well as a successful professional tutorial published by the IEEE (Fundamentals of Power Electronics: A Self Study Course, IEEE Press, 1996, <%ISBN%> 0780323084). Rashid is a registered professional engineer in Canada, a Fellow of the IEE (London), and has won the IEEE Outstanding Engineer award. Rashid is also a member of the U.S. engineering acreditation team, ABET.
