U.S. Army Health Service Support Assessment: Conducted in the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan as of October 2011

 Results, findings, and recommendations of a 2011 study of theater health service support in Afghanistan initiated by Army Surgeon General Patricia D. Horoho. A military team examined services  across the doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) domains. The book is an all-encompassing assessment report accompanied by white papers covering the major focus areas of the assessment (traumatic brain injury, training, effects on families, women’s health, medical evacuation, logistics, behavioral health, and sexual harassment) and providing recommendations for improving the efficiency of health services delivered to service members within the Combined Joint Operations Area–Afghanistan (CJOA-A).
