Waste and Wealth: An Ethnography of Labor, Value, and Morality in a Vietnamese Recycling Economy

Protective Custody takes place within the span of a few days; from the time Raven Ashbury witnesses the murder of Colin Rutledge's partner, Frank Carson on a Miami street, to when Colin realizes he has fallen hard for her. Since the suspect escapes the net set by the law, Colin knows he must protect Raven and get through the investigation with both of them unscathed and takes her to a place where they both would be safe. Or so he thought.
