Emotions, Stress, and Health

Zautra (clinical and health psychology, Arizona State U.) has written an expansive argument on the relation of the emotional states and stress. Definitions of emotions and stress and an overview of scholarly research form the introduction. Much of the book is devoted to aspects of a dynamic model of emotion developed by Zautra, with attention to the way stress influences the experience of emotion, the influences of positive emotions on mental and physical health, and definitions of optimal emotional health.
