The latest in a major series to illustrate all the ancient Greek pottery in public and private collections, this is the first Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum fascicule devoted entirely to a Scottish collection. The collection represents a wide range of pottery, including Bronze and Iron Age Greek, classical Attic, archaic Corinthian, Etruscan, South Italian, Daunian, and bucchero. The book also provides up-to-date descriptions of each vase with measurements, bibliographies, and pointers to comparative material; full illustrations with new photographs; and a profile of drawings of the more interesting shapes as an aid to both the study of potting and painting.
