Recreative Minds: Imagination in Philosophy and Psychology

Currie philosophy, U. of Nottingham) and Ravenscroft (philosophy, Flinders U., Adelaide) present a philosophical theory of imagination that they've been working on together since 1996; parts of many of these chapters have appeared elsewhere over the years. Drawing upon insights from cognitive psychology, their discussion involves the mechanisms of supposition, fantasy, and imagination as they pertain to art, human development, disorders such as autism and schizophrenia, and the emotions.
