SIPRI Yearbook 1987: World Armaments and Disarmament

Now in its eighteenth year, the Yearbook of World Armaments and Disarmament brings together information on world armaments and the efforts made to limit or reduce them. Compiled from open sources by an international staff working on neutral ground, the yearbook examines pressing issues such as nuclear and space weapons, chemical and biological warfare and military technology, and military expenditure and the arms trade. The 1987 Yearbook devotes a special features section to such critical topics as the Chernobyl reactor accident, comprehensive test ban and verification issues, and South Africa.
