This paperbound reprint of a 1978 book (Blackwell Publishers and U. of California Press) contains 14 essays written by Philippa Foot between 1957 and 1977 on moral philosophy. Foot (emeritus, philosophy, UCLA) contends that virtues and vices are at the center of ethical theory.
