Aspiring writer and amateur sleuth Jolie Wyatt has started working as a newscaster for KSGE, the local radio station. One of her first broadcasts is about an escaped prisoner making his way back to his hometown of Purple Sage. While the manhunt is on, a popular college kid is killed. Are the two events connected? Jolie is determined to find out.
