William Goldman has won three Lifetime Achievement awards for screenwriting, two Screenwriter of the Year awards, two Academy Awards (for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and All the President's Men) and one English Academy Award. He is the author of the novels The Princess Bride and Marathon Man, which has made him famous in dentists' offices around the world. He lives in New York City.
