Alcohol Education and Young Offenders: Medium and Short Term Effectiveness of Education Programs

This book presents a series of evaluation studies to investigate the impact of Alcohol Education Courses (AECs) on offending and drinking behaviour in the UK. Young offenders were recruited from local courts. Since the establishment of the first Alcohol Education Course for young offenders in 1981, this form of service delivery has been expanded across the UK. Now the first controlled evaluation of the effectiveness of this type of intervention is available in this book. It includes data from single-case studies and long-term follow-up data.
