Principles of Animal Behavior

This text for undergraduates examines the forces that influence animal behavior, covering learning, personality, and cultural transmission as well as genetics and natural selection. While significant attention is paid to theoretical and conceptual issues, experiments and case studies are used to drive the text, highlighting recent discoveries resulting from new molecular-biological tools and laboratory techniques.
