Garner Quinn writes true crime. Her story of the moment involves a madman known as the Holy Ghost, a deranged serial killer who disfigures his victims. When the story comes to an anticlimactic end, Garner becomes involved in the media firestorm surrounding celebrated sculptor Dane Blackmoor. Body parts have been found in his lifelike sculptures. As she becomes more involved in the story, Garner realizes that someone is stalking her--someone who seems able to anticipate her every move.
