This book is about the history of Napier in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand, and also about the art deco buildings constructed following the devastating earthquake in 1931.

For each calendar month this calendar notebook contains: a pictorial example of Napier's beautiful art deco buildings, information on important events in Napier's history, interesting historical facts and pictures, and it also has space on a monthly calendar page to write in birthdays, anniversaries, or other events if the reader wishes to do so.

The book provides a summary of Napier's early history, and an outline of the main art-deco styles and their features built in Napier with accompanying photos.
