The Mountains of Majipoor

A young prince unfairly exiled to the life of a low level functionary must prove his worth by undertaking a dangerous mission to the icy mountains of Majipoor. His mission: to negotiate with the savages who live there for the release of a group of scientists. But the mysterious shapeshifter who is his guide seems to have his own motivations.
