The Rocky and Bullwinkle Book

Rocky and His Friends, Jay Ward's animated cartoon show starring a flying squirrel and an intellectual moose, debuted in 1959 and instantly won the hearts of audiences and critics alike. Sophisticated, political, and wickedly satirical, it was the first animated program to appeal to children and adults - though they laughed at entirely different moments. Later called The Bullwinkle Show it challenged all previously lauded animated shows and set the precedent for future ones.
