A letter to Geoffrey, a reflexologist who is blind, informs him that his wife is having an affair with a work colleague. His trip to the leisure centre where Alice works changes both their lives as he confronts the other man. Geoffrey's friend Anton also has an illuminating experience at the leisure centre where he meets Amaryllis, his longed-for ideal woman.
