Johnny Leach arrives in Haiti with a group of friends on a rescue mission after a massive earthquake. During a strange set of circumstances, after a bus driver recognizes him and a strange medallion he wears, the group ends up in an abandoned mansion awaiting protection from desperate villagers who go to extremes for food and survival.
In the house, Johnny begins to remember parts of his childhood and realizes this was once his home that harbored a very dark sinister secret from his grandfather who was a renowned anthropologist Andrew Leach. A strange ghost in the form of his grandmother keeps giving the group clues to help them uncover the past and unveil the dark secret that dwells in the attic in form of an ancient tribal god called "Pagan". This two foot tall clawed and fanged creature with horns and frizzy braided hair is believed to be the Satan God that the Haitians prayed to two hundred years ago to free themselves from the French army.
